There is a structural reason your small repairs never get done. A plumber who can spend the day on a repipe has no commercial reason to drive across the valley to reseat a toilet. The trip costs the same either way; the invoice does not. So the small job gets quoted high enough to be worth the trip, you decide it is not worth it, and the toilet keeps rocking.
A handyman visit solves the economics rather than the plumbing. Bundle eight small things into one trip and the trip charge is spread across all of them. This is why we ask for the entire list up front instead of the one item that finally pushed you to call — the list is what makes the visit worth booking for you and worth driving to for the person doing it.
Utah requires a licensed contractor for electrical, plumbing and HVAC work past a certain scope, and for good reason — those are the jobs that burn houses down or flood them. A handyman can swap a light fixture on an existing circuit. Adding a circuit is an electrician's job. Replacing a faucet is fine. Opening a wall because something behind it is wet is not.
We would rather tell you that at the point of the phone call than have someone discover it standing in your kitchen. If your list has items on both sides of that line, you will hear which is which, and we can point you at the right trade for the rest — several of which are other 801 lines answering the same phone system.

Expect a trip or minimum charge on any visit — that is what makes driving out viable for a single small job. It is also exactly why sending the whole list pays: the same trip charge covers eight items as easily as one, so the cost per item drops sharply the longer your list is.
Some of it. Swapping a light fixture on an existing box, or a faucet on existing supply lines, is normal handyman work. Adding a circuit, moving plumbing, anything gas, or opening a wall to chase a leak requires a licensed contractor in Utah. Describe the job when you call and you will be told which side of that line it falls on before anyone is dispatched.
Either way works, but say which when you send the list. If the fixture, shelf or hardware is already in its box at your house, note that. If not, it can usually be picked up on the way — that just needs to be known in advance so the visit is not spent making a second trip to the store.
That depends entirely on what is on it, which is why we ask for the full list rather than the headline item. Small repairs vary from a few minutes to well over an hour once something unexpected turns up behind a wall or under a sink. You will get a realistic read on what fits before booking rather than an optimistic one.
You get told, and you decide. Sometimes a loose towel bar is a loose towel bar, and sometimes the wall behind it is soft because something has been leaking quietly. Nobody should keep working on the assumption that the small version was correct — the point of the visit is that you find out what is actually going on.
